Planning shutters for Big Island of Hawaii
Hawaii Island addresses and site access vary, so give the office the full delivery address, ZIP code, receiving contact and unloading constraints. Include photos of the whole opening and nearby wall, especially for large doors or elevated windows. Ask your local installer to check the mounting surface and applicable approvals before ordering. Follow current Hawaii County guidance when a storm is near.
Compare storm shutter options
Accordion shutters
A mounted manual system can suit patio doors and openings closed repeatedly. Check stacking room and safe reach at each Hilo or Kona property before sizing.
Storm panels
A removable choice when the property has dry storage and someone who can deploy every panel safely. Review track attachment and label each opening.
Hurricane fabric
Lighter storage may help with large or awkward openings. Have the installer check the exact system's anchors, dimensions and required clearance.
